On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…Ridgway based state police tell WQRM a 2 vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning around 6:30. According to their report, Curtis Wildnauer, 27, of Johnsonburg had pulled from a driveway when he impacted the right front corner of a vehicle operated by Mark Zimmerman, also a Johnsonburg resident. Wildnauer was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Henry Reuning, 58, of Wellsville was traveling east in a 2000 Peterbuilt tanker, according to Kane troopers. Reuning was attempting to negotiate a left curve on Route 246 when the truck rolled. The truck rolled onto the passenger’s side and came to final rest in a ditch. As a result of Reuning driving too fast and the accident, an unknown amount of motor oil leaked from the truck.
Harassment in Roulette between the 28th and the 29th was investigated by Coudersport based state police. A report issued states that the victim, a 40 year old was reportedly called by a 56 year old. Both individuals are Roulette residents. No charges were filed.
Criminal mischief at the Galeton Little League Field was investigated by troopers in Coudersport recently. Troopers tell us the crime occurred between the 5th of this month and yesterday when someone broke a door to the concession stand.
Criminal mischief in Roulette between the 24th and 28th was investigated by troopers in Coudersport. They tell WQRM someone damaged a windshield on a truck owned by Bill Danylko and Son Excavating of McKean. A wiper blade arm was also damaged by the actor or actors.
And Coudersport based state police tell us they have a ring which was found yesterday along Route 49. To claim, contact the barracks at 274-8690.
And the Egg Hunt originally scheduled several days ago in Bradford has not been set for 1:00pm Saturday at the Callahan Park ice rink.
Calls to 911 in Olean may be re-routed from their current destination at the Olean City dispatch center to the sheriff’s department, at a savings of $300,000. Mayor Quinlan unsuccessfully attempted the move in 2004.
In other Olean news, the common council is back at the table over the increase in property taxes and water and sewer rates. The proposed property tax increase is currently at 9.8 percent. It was the recommendation of council to cut positions within the city’s budget, rather than raise rates. A review of the budget will take place during the next meeting April 5th.
The Community Blood Bank in Bradford is again appealing to residents to give the gift of life. Levels of type A and o continue to be dangerously low, according to officials the CBB. To donate, you must be at least 17 years of age, 110 pounds and generally in good health. No appointment is necessary.
In a programming note, the high school softball game scheduled for today has been moved to April 13th. WQRM will broadcast live, weather pending.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight an yesterday…all was quiet on area streets and highways according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
The death of Gregory Cheatle, 49, of Emporium was rules as accident, due to environmental exposure. Cheatle had left an Erie rehab center and walked toward Emporium, only to not make it. He was found several days ago by a passerby.
And Ridgway based state police are investigating a burglary which occurred between the Sunday and yesterday in Ridgway Township at the Sandy Beach Recreation Park. A report states that locks on two buildings were broke. Also a storage shed was entered. 4 camps just east of the park were also broken into. Anyone having information about these incidences is asked to contact Emporium PSP.
And St. Marys City police reportedly arrested Moon Township resident Scott A. Yanak, 24, for various things related to illegal drugs. Charges lodged against the suspect included possession and delivery, after an incident where Yanak delivered 6 bags of heroin to a known female. The investigation continues.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…all was reportedly quiet according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
Ridgway based state police tell us they found a men’s mountain bike along Route 949. Should this bike be your’s, you can call the barracks at 776-6136 to claim.
And Troopers in Ridgway have charges pending against a known St. Marys person for writing bad checks at the Bennett’s Valley Pharmacy.
According to a report, 49 year old Emporium resident Gregory Cheatle supposedly died as a result of freezing to death. Troopers say Gregory Cheatle was discovered along Route 46 Friday morning. Cheatle reportedly left an Erie drug rehab facility and walked 100 miles to the point where he was found last week. No official cause of death has yet been released.
And the meeting of the Allegheny Mountain Engine and Implement Association is scheduled for April 10th, beginning at 1:30pm. The meeting was previously announced for this Sunday.

On the traffic and accident scene over the past weekend…Coudersport troopers stopped Robert Gummo, 34, of Port Allegany on Saturday along Route 6. Gummo was stopped around 5:0pm for an expired inspection sticker, at which time troopers also found the operator to be DUI. Charges were filed.
A DUI related collision on Friday along Route 219 in Ridgway Township was responded to by PSP there. A report from the barracks states that a 94 Chevrolet Blazer was parked along Route 219, facing south when Amanda Cassells, 21, of St. Marys was operating a 98 Chevy Coupe. Heading northbound, Cassels lost control of her vehicle sending it off the east side of the roadway where it struck the blazer owned by Charles Mcalee of Wilcox. The investigation continues.
A DUI related accident occurred Saturday along Route 948, according to our checks with state police in Ridgway. According to their report, John Kemmerer, 49, of St. Marys was stopped for a traffic violation around 2:35am. During the stop for a traffic violation, troopers found the individual to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charges are pending.
Harassment and stalking was investigated by troopers from the Ridgway barracks. According to a report issued, Paul Flynn, 51, of Kersey told troopers he was walking along Lovers Lane in Kersey when an unknown vehicle drove by him and someone threw an unknown object at him. The vehicle continued northbound and Flynn was not injured.
Szymanski Excavating in Wilcox was the site of a reported act of criminal mischief between Friday and Saturday. According to our checks with Ridgway based state police, someone arrived on ATVs. Once on the scene, those involved went into the sedimentation pond where heavy equipment was. Those involved then proceeded to throw rocks at windows on the loader being used at the site. Anyone with information can contact troopers in Ridgway.
No items were reported missing after a break in at a camp owned by James Ritenour of Champion. This incident occurred between January 1st and March 25th of this year, along Upper Shanty Road, Keating Township, Potter County.
And a reported act of harassment occurred Thursday in Byrnedale, Jay Township, Elk County. Ridgway based state police tell WQRM two juveniles were involved. No charges were filed.
A collision on Friday along Route 949, in the village of Portland Mills, Elk County was responded to by Ridgway Troopers who tell us William Keenan, 41, of Monongahela had reportedly swerved to miss a deer around 9:44pm. The Keenan vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet truck, struck the north guide rail. Keenen then reportedly fled the scene heading west along Route 949. The operator was later found at a camp in Lake City, where he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Keenen was taken into custody and charged. Keenen and his passenger, 28 year old Brandy Strychalski were not injuried as a result of the accident.
A crash on Thursday in Ridgway Township was responded to by Ridgway troopers, who report that Mark Zameroski, 47, of Ridgway was traveling north along Bear Creek Road in a 95 truck. While rounding a curve and supposedly attempting to miss a deer, the operator lost control. The truck then traveled into a ditch before re-entering the roadway before it impacted a tree. No charges were filed.
An accident Wednesday of last week was responded to by Ridgway troopers who tell WQRM Randy Drum, 39, of DuBois was rounding a curve on the Keystone Road in a 95 Saturn Sedan. Traveling at a speed too great for conditions, the truck left the roadway, entering a yard where it continued east and struck a large tree. The Drum vehicle then continued east through another yard before it re-entered the roadway and came to rest.
And an accident on Wednesday in Galeton borough was responded to by Coudersport based state police. A report issued states that Jamie Murray, 35, of Galeton was traveling north on Route 144 when the operator lost control on the slush covered roadway. The right rear corner of the Toyota Sienna being operated struck the guide rail before the vehicle traveled across Route 144 and struck an embankment. Murray was taken to Charles Cole for treatment of minor neck and head injuries.
A theft between the 18th and the 25th in Ulysses Township was investigated by troopers in Coudersport who tell us someone removed 2 black and yellow "No Winter Maintenance" signs.
Theft in Ridgway Township between Thursday and Friday is being investigated by Ridgway Troopers. They tell WQRM the crime occurred as someone removed a white canvas canopy from property owned by Fred West. Anyone with information can contact the barracks at 776-6136.
Harassment by 2 known actors is still being investigated by troopers in Coudersport. A report from the barracks states that a domestic dispute on Wednesday occurred around 10:45pm in Pike Township, potter County. No further details are available and no injuries were reported.
Forgery is being investigated by Ridgway based state police. According to the barracks, Debra Jones told troopers a female used her check card at Wal-Mart and Gerber’s Service Station. The investigation continues into the incident which reportedly wracked up charges in excess of $119.00.
Criminal mischief between last Sunday and Monday was investigated by troopers at the Ridgway barracks, who tell us someone drove into a mailbox owned by Bryan McClain of Kersey. Those involved then drove through the victim’s field and yard.
Charges were filed against Telisha Persinger of Ridgway after Matt Yonkofski, also of Ridgway reported that the accused used his phone while he wasn’t home.
And Coudersport based state police have charged 31 year old Susan Hogle of Coudersport in connection with furnishing 2 minors with alcohol this past Thursday and Friday.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…all was reported quiet according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
Coudersport based state police tell us Michele Crawford, 25, of Coudersport was cited for not driving a 93 Chevrolet Cavalier at a safe speed on Wednesday. Troopers who responded to the scene over her accident tell us she was traveling west along Route 49 when she lost control while negotiating a curve on a snow covered roadway. The Crawford vehicle impacted a cement culvert, deflating the tire. The car the ascended a slight embankment, where the left side impacted small trees and shrubbery. The car then traveled back onto Route 49, crossed both lanes of traffic and entered a field. Crawford was taken to Charles Cole for treatment of her shoulder and neck pain.
Ruth Kinchen, 43, of Harrison Valley was traveling north in a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Operating the vehicle on the snow covered roadway, Kinchen lost control while travelling too fast for conditions. The vehicle then left the lane of travel and struck a legally parked 2002 Oldsmobile Alero GX. Kinchen sustained only minor injury as a result of the incident. A 2 year old passenger in her car was uninjured. This investigation continues by Coudersport based state police.
And Coudersport based state police are investigating an accident which reportedly occurred March 23rd along Route 872, 1 mile north of Costello in Portage Township, Potter County. A report issued by the barracks states that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado operated by 63 year old Evan David of Austin was northbound on the snow covered roadway when the operator lost control while travelling too fast for conditions. The vehicle left Route 872 and struck an embankment. David was reportedly not injured. However, his 62 year old passenger, Judith David, also an Austin resident sustained minor injury.
According to an AP report, Adelphia is near the end, with an agreement worth about $725 million to possibly be paid to the US Justice Department and Securities and the US Exchange Commission. The country’s 5th largest cable provider has been operating under Chapter 11 since 2002.
A grant for $50,000 is being sought by the McKean County Redevelopment Authority for use in the demolition of the Commercial Hotel in Mount Jewett. Officials say the demolition of the hotel and the Old Kettle Restaurant are top priority, should funds be available.
Chlorine training will be held by the Potter County Emergency Management Agency April 27th, from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Coudersport American Legion. Lunch will be provided, students must pre-register and emergency personnel are urged to attend.
And the Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday in Bradford has been canceled due to ice. The event will be rescheduled for a date after Easter.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…Kane based state police tell us they responded to an accident along Route 46 in Norwich Borough. According to the report issued, troopers responded around 9:57am to find Robert Emely of Russell had been traveling south while operating unmentioned vehicle. The operator lost control and the unit began to fishtail, went off the west berm abd impacted with a tree. Emely was wearing his seatbelt and received only minor injuries.
Adrian Forcier, 27, of Bolivar was operating a 1990 Plymouth Voyager along Route 44 in Hebron Township yesterday morning around 9:00am. Forcier lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway while attempting to negotiate a right hand curve. The vehicle traveled off the east berm where it struck the guide rail, spun counter-clockwise and came to final rest facing east. Forcier was wearing a seatbelt and received no injuries.
Kane based state police responded to a collision yesterday morning along Route 446. The incident, occurring in Eldred Township, reportedly occurred while a trailer being hauled by Shirl Howell of Eldred separated from the truck being operated. The trailer then slid east and hit a utility pole. Howell was wearing a seatbelt and received no injuries.
Coudersport based state police tell WQRM Jessica Kio, 21, of Genesee was southbound in a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee along the O’Donnell Road in Genesee Township at an unreasonable speed. The Jeep began to slide on the snow covered roadway, went off the west berm and struck a tree. The vehicle then rolled onto its roof. Kio was able to climb from the vehicle and summon help.
A traffic accident along the Loucks Mills Road in Pike Township occurred yesterday afternoon, according to our checks with state police in Coudersport. Their report states that Philip Tubbs, 30, of Mills was operating a 2001 Ford Ranger when he lost control on the snow covered roadway. Losing control of the truck sent the vehicle over an embankment where it rolled. Tubbs was transported by ambulance to Charles Cole where he was treated and released.
Coudersport based state police tell us a 17 year old female from Coudersport sustained only minor injuries while operating a 91 Jeep Cherokee along Dingman Run Road yesterday afternoon. According to the report, the individual was northbound when her cell phone rang. Answering the call, the operator became distracted. While answering the call, the operator lost control of the vehicle, sending to over an embankment where it rolled before coming to rest of its roof. An investigation continues.
Kane based state police are searching for the person or persons involved in the unlawful removal of political signs along various roadways in Edred Township, Keating Township and Liberty Township. Anyone with information pertaining to who may have removed signs pertaining to the re-election of James Miller are asked to contact the Kane barracks.
Indecent exposure by Bryan Daniels of Genesee was handled by Coudersport based state police recently. According to their report, Daniels parked his 96 Chevrolet pickup at a location along Collins Hill Road in Bingham Township in December. Once several victims were within a short distance of him, he got out of his truck and started to perform a self-gratification. Daniels has been charged with Indecent Exposure, Corruption of minors, Open Lewdness and Disorderly Conduct. Bail was set at $5,00 unsecured, with the condition he is to have no contact with children.
Coudersport based state police remind our listeners that DUI enforcement continues throughout Potter County and the Commonwealth. Also remember that the legal BAC level was lowered from .1 to .08.
And a Port any resident is set to hear his fait April 15th before District Justice James Miller. Timothy Maben, 20, is accused of abusing his infant son over a 3-4 week period beginning in December. According to the report, Maben shook his son in addition to handling him in a rough manner, causing injuries to the infant.
Bradford School District will see an expansion of funds from sales in the ANF. The increase equals $4,478 over last years total.
And tuition at St. Bonavenure is set to increase $1,960 for undergraduates. Tuition for the 2005-2006 school year will equal $20,610. Also, expansion of the DeLaRoche Hall is still in the plans.

Coudersport based state police tell WQRM a theft occurred on Friday, the 11th at the residence of William Morgart II of Shinglehouse. Coudersport based state police report that someone entered the residence and garage, removing several items. The investigation continues.
Normal operations have again resumed at the FCI-McKean. Another period of lockdown began about a month ago. The lockdown was initiated after staff realized a need to interview inmates regarding their concerns.
A grant worth over $42,000 will be given to Elk County, according to Representative Dan Surra. The funds are marked for use in monitoring mosquito populations in addition to beginning a West Nile virus surveillance program.
St. Marys City council okayed the selling of the old City Hall building to a Treasure Lake resident at a price of $200,000. Also okayed was the purchase of the Red Cross building on Brusselles Street, for the purpose of widening the road in that area in the future. Currently the Red Cross will be permitted to stay, rent free. It was also mentioned that they will be given a minimum of 6 months notice when demolition of that building will occur.
St. Bonaventure offices will be closed due to the Easter Holiday from tomorrow, the 24th through Monday, the 28th. Classes will resume and offices will reopen on Tuesday.

On the traffic and accident scene over night and yesterday…all was reportedly quiet, according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
Criminal mischief between Sunday and Monday of this week was investigated by Ridgway PSP. Troopers there tell WQRM the Brian McCain residence in Kersey was the location where someone drove into a mailbox. After hitting the mailbox, those involved then drove into the victim’s yard after turning around in a nearby field.
A simple assault between 2 known males was investigated by troopers in Ridgway on the 19th. A report from their barracks states that a 16 year old was shot with a BB gun by a 19 year old, causing wounds to the victim’s feet. Charges are pending.
Kane based state police tell us harassment against Bridgette Housler of Mount Jewett in being investigated by their barracks. Charges are pending.
Jesse Blankenship, 30, of Kane was stopped Friday along the Highland Road in Jones Township, Elk County. Troopers from Kane tell us the accused was stopped for a summary traffic violation, at which time the responding officer found Blankenship to be driving under the influence. He was arrested and taken to the McKean County jail on a probation violation.
Kane based state police tell us they stopped 18 year old Darrell Unverdorben of Rixford on Friday, along Route 346 at the Sweitzer Drive intersection. Troopers attempted to stop the accused was for a summary traffic violation, at which time Kane PSP say he accelerated across Sweitzer Drive onto Route 346, where the pursuit ended without further incident. Unverdorben was taken into custody and charged.
Kane based state police say they responded to a residence in Turtlepoint yesterday, to find a non-responsive 40 year old female who had reportedly taken an undetermined amount of prescription pills. Other than to say the female was taken to Charles Cole, no further details are available.
A theft from the Wal-mart in St Marys on the 18th is being investigated by troopers in Ridgway, who tell WQRM someone made off with a purse belonging to Roslyn Schneider of St Marys. Anyone with information van contact the barracks.
A meeting between the feds and Zippo representatives was held last week in Washington DC. The meeting was held in regard to the ban on lighters in what was called sterile areas on the nation’s airports. Seven weeks ago the homeland Security Department announced the ban. Zippo is contesting the ban, saying they stand to lose a possible 30 percent of their sales.
And Port Allegany Borough Council unanimously agreed to enter into the McKean County Drug Task force, headed by DA John Pavlock. It was also mentioned during the meeting by auditor Gary Wisneiski of Amherst, NY that the borough should form a plan in the case that both glass plants should close.

On the traffic and accident scene over the past weekend…Aaron Kronenwetter, 21, of Kersey was observed by Ridgway troopers exiting a driveway along Main Street in Kersey, Fox Township on Saturday. Riding an ATV, Kronenwetter, headed east before driving through 2 private yards, where the ATV became stuck in a snow drift. He was found to be under the influence by troopers. Charges were filed.
Kane based state police responded to an accident along the Barden Brook Road on Saturday, where they found Dennis Campbell, 23, of Eldred had been operating a 94 Plymouth Sundance Duster in a westerly direction and at a high rate of speed. Campbell lost control while rounding a slight curve. The unit crossed the roadway, traveling onto the south berm, where it struck a traffic sign. The car then traveled another 230 feet, went airborne and struck another bank. Campbell was airflighted to a medical center for treatment of his injuries.
Kane troopers tell WQRM A DUI related crash occurred Saturday along the Barnum Road, ½ mile north of Indian Creek Road. Mike Higley, 50, of Eldred was reportedly operating a 95 GMC C1500 truck when he lost control while driving at a high rate of speed. Higley over compensated on a curve, when the truck traveled over both lanes of traffic and struck a cement culvert on the opposite side of the roadway. Higley was air lifted to Hamot Medical Center for treatment. The investigation continues.
Kane PSP tell us a hit and run occurred Friday evening along Highland Road in Wetmore Township, just behind the Kane High School. According to the report issued, Arthur Amsler, of Evans City was crossing a set of train tracks when his snowmobile trailer hit a telephone pole, knocking various lines to the ground. Amsler then fled and stopped a the Highland Snowmobile Club, where he was located by Kane PSP. Charges are pending.

Troopers tell us 59 year old Robert Brooks of Westfield was operating a 98 Buick Century along Route 49, when he failed to yield while attempting to turn into the parking lot of Kibbe’s Store in the township. The Brook’s vehicle struck a 91 Cadillac Brouham owned by 77 year old Love Hess of Ulysses. The investigation continues.
Aggravated assault on Sunday was investigated by Emporium based state police, who tell WQRM Derek Sowa, 25, of Emporium was committed to the Elk County jail in leau of $25,000 for the assault of Kellis Martz of Emporium. According to the report issued the assault was against a police officer.
An assault in the parking lot of the Northwoods Tavern in Coudersport was responded to by Coudersport PSP. Troopers in Coudersport tell us Kalina Pekarski of Coudersport was injured when a vehicle door struck her while she was in the parking lot on Saturday morning. The investigation continues and anyone with information can contact troopers in Coudersport.
Emporium troopers arrested Fransisco Soto, 19, of Emporium after the accused entered Household discount in Emporium on Saturday. Once inside the accused became engaged in a verbal conversation with Trisha Wilkins of Austin. Doing so violated a PFA order. Soto was arrested, arraigned and remanded to the Elk county jail in lieu of $2,500 straight bail.
Criminal Mischief between Friday and Saturday in Emporium borough was investigated by PSP there. A report issued states that someone removed a sign from a vehicle owned by Roma Suladie, an Emporium resident.
An incident involving harassment between 2 known juveniles on Friday was taken care of by Emporium troopers, who cited one of the individuals involved in the incident.
Cameron County School District teachers okayed a contract Thursday. Their approval ends 3 years of negotiations. The new contract runs through June 30, 2007. Contracts for the next contract could begin within the next year.
And St Marys’ Pressed Metals was awarded the Governor’s Excellence Award recently. The company was given the award, along with 10 other companies, for excellence on environmental excellence. The company reduces its waste by reusing iron calcium collected from acid mine drainage.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…all was quiet on area streets and highways according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
Ridgway troopers tell us an automobile part was found along Route 219 in Ridgway Township this morning, shortly after midnight. The item, found by a passing motorist driving by the Royal Inn, is believed to have fallen from a delivery truck. To claim, contact the Ridgway based state police.
And a traffic accident occurred on Saturday along route 44 in Hebron Township, Potter County. Coudersport based state police tell us a 97 Nissan Altima, driven by 28 year old Yi Li of Coudersport, was southbound on 44 when the operator lost control, crossed the northbound lane and traveled into the east berm. The vehicle then crossed the south and north lanes while spinning clockwise. The rear of the vehicle then struck an embankment on the east side of Route 44 and came to rest. No injuries were reported.
The Meyer and Wagner Law Firm in St Marys has announced their affiliation with Knox, LcLaughlin, Gornall and Sennet of Erie. Those involved stated that this is not a merger, nor a consolidation. It’s merely a collaboration, which will allow the 2 firms to join forces in better serving their clients.
And McKean County has stepped into the 21st Century with the installation of metal detectors on the 3rd floor, where the courtrooms are located. The units were installed Wednesday.
Tickets are now on sale for the Otto-Eldred Show Choir’s Dessert and Dinner Theater, set for April 8th and 9th. The Dessert Theater is set for the 8th, beginning at 7:30pm. The Dinner Theater is set for 7:30pm on the 9th. Money raised goes toward the show choir’s activities.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…all was reportedly quiet, according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
Coudersport based state police tell WQRM they stopped Jesse Cimino, 22, of Roulette on February 28th in Roulette Township. Stopped around 3:00am, Cimino was originally stopped for excessive speed, in addition to moving violations. Approaching the Cimino vehicle, Coudersport troopers found the driver to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Cimino was subsequently taken to Charles Cole where testing proved that he was under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Charges were filed for DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding and other traffic violations.
Emporium’s 14 year old Tygue Dillen was reportedly taken to Elk Regional Saturday with symptoms of meningitis. Once at Elk Regional, Dillen was eventually flown to Pittsburgh’s Children’s Hospital where he remains in critical, but stable, condition. No further details on Dillen’s condition are available at this time.
A grant for over $386,000 has been given to the Northern Tier Community Action Corporation for weatherization assistance. The fund will be used to assist those who may have a hard time paying their heating bills, in addition to helping to weatherize homes.
Tickets are now on sale for the Otto-Eldred Show Choir’s Dessert Theater and Dinner Theater, which will be held April 8th and 9th at Otto-Eldred Elementary School. The Dessert Theater will be held on the 8th, beginning at 7:30pm, serving various rich desserts, coffee and punch. Tickets are $5.00 per person. The dinner Theater is set for Saturday, April 9th, beginning at 7:30pm. Cost is $12.00 per person. Served will be roast beef or chicken, potato, salad, fruit, vegetable, dessert and a beverage. Proceeds from both events benefit the Show Choir’s activities.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…all was quiet on area streets and highways according to our checks with state police in the WQRM listening area. There were no related incidences to report either.
A simple assault on Saturday was investigated by troopers from Kane. According to their report, Geromia Schoonover, 22 struck the known 41 year old victim in the face with his fist, breaking the victim’s nose. The incident occurred at the McKean County Jail.
And a reported harassment on Saturday in Byrnedale, Jay Township, Elk County was investigated by troopers in Ridgway. Their report states that upon their investigation is was determined that the incident actually involved parents disciplining their child.
In other news…another bomb threat Tuesday was received by the Bradford Area High School. Tuesday morning found the school in lockdown between approximately 9:25 and 10:50. Normal operations at the school resumed around 10:50, upon the completion of the sweep of the school and grounds.
And Senator Joe Scarnati will hold constituent hours from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Lewis Run borough office. He or one of his representatives will be available at that time to speak with those who may have concerns.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…Coudersport based state police tell us a crash occurred yesterday morning along Main Street in Genesee. According to their reprot, Elizabeth Bristol, 28, of Genesee was backing out of her driveway, when she struck Thomas Truax, 57, of Genesee. Truax was transported to Jones Memorial hospital in Wellsville for treatment of his minor injuries.
A crash on Monday in front of Charles Cole in Coudersport was responded to by Coudersport based state police at approximately 2:30pm. The Coudersport barracks tells WQRM Wanda Long, 53, of Ulysses was eastbound in a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she rearended a 99 Dodge Stratus driven by 22 year old Leslie Helfrich of Shinglehouse, who was stopped along Route 6, waiting to turn into Charles Cole. Helfrich was taken by a hospital worked to the hospital for treatment of her minor injuries.
Lisa Chemlar of Emporium told Pennsylvania State Police there someone removed an 8 foot inflatable Pink Easter Bunny lawn ornament from her yard between the 10th and yesterday.
Coudersport based state police tell us they stopped 39 year old Dean Yenny of McKean on Thursday. Stopped along Fishing Creek Road in Roulette Township, Yenny was found to be DUI while operating a 2000 Ford F-150. The initial stop was conducted for failure to use a turn signal. Charges have been filed.
Simple assault on Thursday in Emporium was responded to by state police there. According to their report, the incident occurred at the Allegany Pub as someone hit Lisa Putt, 37, of Emporium as she stood in front of the Pub. This investigation continues.
A hit and run on March 7th in Driftwood was responded to by Emporium based state police. A report issued states that someone backed into a pole on property owned by Lori Lupro of Driftwood. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact troopers in Emporium.
Coudersport based state police have released details about an excessive cell phone bill problem. According to their reprot, Bradley Clark, 22, of Wellsville took a cell phone owned by Sean Procuri, 24, of Genesee. While Clark had the phone, he ran up a bill in excess of $1,700. Charges have been filed.
A theft in Jones Township, Elk County between December 15th and March 14th was investigated by troopers in Ridgway. According to their report, someone took a registration plate from a vehicle owned by Laura Valentine of Kersey.
A retail theft in Eldred is being investigated by troopers in Kane. According to their report, someone drove off from Wimpy’s without paying for $10.00 in gas on Monday.
The McKean County Landfill sale could be completed as early as June, according to reports. Among the items covered during the SWA meeting Monday, was the relocation of Girl Scout land to another suitable site, as the leachate facility at the landfill sits upon Girl Scout owned property.
And a grant worth $5,000 will be used by the Seneca Law Enforcement Agency so they can build an impound yard near the McKean County Jail. According to McKean County DA, John Pavlock, the yard is being built in an effort to save money. Currently, impounded items are stored at various locations, often costing the county money. No date was given for construction of the yard.

On the traffic and accident scene over the past weekend…a crash along Route 219 in Ridgway Township, Elk County was responded to by Ridgway troopers on Sunday. According to their report, a 16 year old, operating a 97 Chrysler Sebring crossed into the northbound lane after exiting a curve around 4:20pm. The operator lost control before the vehicle crossed the southbound lane and impacted a tree on the west side. The operator was charged with a summary traffic violation.
Emporium troopers investigated a one vehicle accident on Saturday. According to their report, Amy Barnard, 22, of Port Allegany was traveling north on Route 155 in a 96 Ford Windstar when she lost control on the slush covered roadway. The van then struck a guiderail. No injuries were reported by either the operator or her passenger, 21 year old Sarah Angell, also of Port Allegany.
A fatal crash along Sartwell Creek Road in Pleasant Valley Township remains under investigation by Coudersprot based state police. According to a report over the weekend, the name of the drive involved in the accident has been released. Troopers tell WQRM the driver was Scott McClelland, 41, of Level Green.
Emporium troopers tell us a simple assault occurred Saturday in Shippen Township, Cameron County. Reportedly, Scot Swartz, 43, of Emporium was arrested for simple assault after an altercation with 36 year old Cathy Jo Swartz, also an Emporium resident. The accused was arraigned, with bail set at $5,000 unsecured.
A death of undetermined origin is being investigated by troopers in Emporium. According to a report issued yesterday, Karen May Bodnar, 47, of Emporium was found at her residence around 4:00am.
Harassment on the 10th is still under investigation by Emporium PSP. Troopers there tell WQRM Melanie Harmon and Rhonda Rupert, both Emporium residents were engaged in a physical altercation. No further details are available.
Ridgway based state police responded to a crash on Saturday along Route 255, north of Fry Road in Fox Township, Elk County. According to their report, a 17 year old was operating a 2001 Mercury Sable when the juvenile lost control on the icy roadway, allowing the vehicle to cross the roadway, where it struck a vehicle operated by Clayton Bernard, 50, of Freeport. The juvenile was not injured, while Bernard and his passenger, Georgia Bernard both sustained minor injuries. All were wearing seatbelts.
A traffic collision on Friday in Ridgway Township, Elk County was responded to by troopers based in Ridgway. According to their report, Diane Bauer was operating a 2002 ford Ranger westbound along Route 120, when she lost control of the truck after crossing a set of railroad tracks. The truck spun around before impacting a guiderail and then a tree. Bauer was transported to Elk Regional for treatment of minor injuries.
A 2 vehicle crash Friday at 6:00pm along Route 219 in Horton Township, Elk County. Ridgway troopers responded to find that Ralph Nedza, 18, of DuBois was operating a 93 Jeep Cherokee. While sneezing the operator lost control on the icy and snow covered roadway. The vehicle then slid out of control, crossed both lanes of traffic and entered the path of a 98 Toyota 4-Runner, operated by Erin Lundeen, 24, of Kane. Nedza and Lundeen, along with a passenger in the Lundeen vehicle, 27 year old Brad Lundeen were transported to Elk Regional for treatment of moderate injuries. All were wearing seatbelts.
Harassment on Thursday in Gibson Township, Cameron County was investigated by troopers at the Emporium barracks. According to their report, Fred Garber of Sinnamahoning and Heather Baney, also of Sinnamahoning were involved in a physical altercation. Charges are pending against both individuals.
Theft in Ridgway township is being investigated by the barracks there. According to the PSP report issued, someone removed 2 lighted traffic control devices from a location along Laurel Mill road, near the Country Club. Anyone with information should contact troopers.

Ridgway based state police tell WQRM criminal mischief in Johnsonburg between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning of this week was investigated by their barracks. According to the report issued, a 95 Chevrolet owned by Nicklous Cherry, 41 was damaged as an actor or actors attempted entry by prying on the vehicle’s doors. Damaged is pegged at $500.00 and a reward is being offered for information in this incident. If you have information, contact Elk County Crimestoppers or Elk County based PSP.
Coudersport based state police tell us a theft on the 8th was investigated by their barracks. The victim, a 17 year old female at Northern Potter High School, told troopers someone took 2 gold and diamond rings from her gym locker.
And a seasonal camp in Austin was the site of a reported trespassing on Wednesday. Someone entered a camp owned by John Bomberger of Manheim, PA. Nothing was reported missing.
In a vote of 417 to 9, the Route 219 Johnsonburg bypass has is expected to receive $4.4 million. In related news, no additional funding for the Bradford portion of the bypass is expected. Restoration of the Bradford bypass may begin as early as 2006.
Life and Independence for Today will hold a public hearing March 23rd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Dubois Campus of PSU. Purpose of the meeting is to gain knowledge of the issues and barriers confronting those with disabilities in the area LIFT serves in Elk, Cameron, McKean, Clearfield, Jefferson and Potter Counties. On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…Coudersport bases state police responded to an accident along Route 49, Bingham Township, Potter County. Reports indicate that Tammy Mastin, 30, of Westfield was traveling east in a 97 Honda Passport, when she lost control and the vehicle crossed the westbound lane. The vehicle then rolled onto its roof and continued east for a short distance. Mastin was wearing her seatbelt and received no injuries.
Coudersport based state police tell us they recovered 4 highway signs from a location along Sherman Street in Galeton. Charges are pending against a 17 year old juvenile.
A one vehicle accident along Route 120 in Lumber Township, Cameron County was responded to by Emporium based state police. Audra Lash, 19, of Roulette lost control of the 99 Pontiac Sunfire she was operating. The vehicle struck an embankment and came to rest. Lash was wearing her seatbelt and received only minor injuries.
Kane troopers tell us they are investigating and act of criminal mischief, which occurred between the 7th and the 8th. Someone arrived at the Reuben Stuckey residence in Lewis Run. Those involved then smashed the windshield of Stuckey’s 91 Pontiac Firebird Coupe. The rear window and driver’s side window were also damaged during the incident. Anyone with information can contact troopers in Kane.
Coudersport PSP have drug related charges pending against a known 17 year old. No further details are available.
A theft in Ulysses is being investigated by troopers in Coudersport. They released a report which states that someone removed 5 personal checks and $60.00 from Pauline Hicks pocketbook some time between March 3rd and the 8th. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Coudersprot troopers.
And theft by deception is being investigated by the Ridgway based state police, who tell WQRM someone purchased items from the Wal-Mart in St Marys on a closed checking account.
During their Wednesday evening meeting, Otto Township Supervisors were asked by nnearly 2 dozen people to consider giving permission to ATV riders to ride along Kansas Branch Road and Fitzsimmons Street, in order to have access to gas, food and other related items. The Supervisors agreed to look into the matter and contact their solicitor regarding an ordinance for such a matter.
Sgt. Charles Trinkle of the Pennsylvania State Police service Benezette Township, is asking for help from residents in that area in policing tourists who want to watch Elk in that area. On thing that was alarming was the number of burglaries has risen in the Benezette area. Trooper Trinkle asked for help from area residents, asking them to contact the PSP when they see suspicious activity.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…Coudersport based state police tell us a one vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning around 9:45. Tara Debockler, 23, of Port Allegany was traveling east along Route 6 in Eulalia Township, Potter County in a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Debockler lost control of the vehicle before it rotated clockwise, crossed into the opposing lane, impacted an embankment along the northern side of the roadway and came to final rest on it’s roof, facing south. Debockler and her passengers, a 1 year old and a 9 month old were taken to Charles Cole where only Debockler required treatment for a minor injury.
A 2 vehicle crash along Route 219 in Lafayette Township was responded to by Kane based state police. Troopers there tell us Kyle Martin, 21, of Gifford was travelling south in a 2004 Ford F-250 and Karl Herzing, 19, of St Marys was operating a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue, heading north along Route 219. According to the barracks, Martin lost control of the truck he was operating on the icy roadway. The loss of control sent the Martin vehicle off the western edge of the roadway. While attempting to correct the situation, Martin’s truck slid back across both lanes of 219, where it struck the car driven by Herzing. The Herzing car had to be towed from the scene, according to authorities. Both operators were uninjured during the incident.
A theft by unlawful taking is being investigated by Coudersport based state police. A report released by the barracks states that someone entered the Kimberly VanGorder residence in Gaines between December 20th and February 14th. Once inside, those invovled removed several pieces of jewelry.
And a theft in Ulysses is being investigated by Coudersport based state police. Between December 6th and the 14th someone removed 2 packages from the front porch of Kim Emmel. Anyone with information about this theft is urged to contact Coudersport PSP.
Olean is going to lose a one officer, in an effort to reduce spending by as much as $45,000 a year. According to a report is today’s Bradford Era, the projected budget for 2005-2006 is $2.4 million. Of that, $1.9 million goes toward salaries and benefits. Council has until their April 15th meeting to get things in order.
Judge John Cleland is, so far, the only interested person on the ballot for the May Primary. As of now, Cleland is the only person interested in the position at this time. Cleland’s interest in re-election will set him to be elected to a third term.
Snyder Manufacturing, a Salamanca based company, has announced plans to purchase Buffalo Pellet Stoves, a formerly Buffalo, NY based company. Snyder began business in 2000 and currently employs 20 people, with plans to hire 8-10 additional employees.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…a hit and run occurred yesterday, 1 mile south of Genesee in Potter County. According to Coudersport based state police, the incident occurred yesterday morning around 2:10am as someone driving a Pontiac left the roadway in their car, hit a sign, 2 mailboxes and the Hidden hollow Café. The person involved then failed to notify the owner about the damage to the café. Anyone with information can contact troopers in Coudersport at (814) 274-8690.
Criminal mischief in Wilcox is being investigated by Ridgway troopers. A report released by their barracks states that someone spray painted The Peterson Studio, the McFarland House and 4 other building between Sunday and Monday of this week. Anyone with information about this crime can contact Ridgway based state police at 776-6136.
A collision on the 6th was responded to by Coudersport based state police, who tell WQRM Julie Moon, 25, of Ulysses lost control of the 99 Pontiac Grand AM she was operating along Route 49, east of Allegany Township. The car traveled down an embankment and rolled, according to troopers. Moon received only minor injuries as a result of the incident.
A DUI related incident occurred Saturday along Route 219 in Ridgway Township. Troopers from their barrcks tell us they clocked David Corey, 28, of Ridgway around 2:30am going 68 in a 55 MPH zone. Other traffic related violations were also observed. Corey was then stopped, at which time it was determined that he was under the influence. Charges will be filed.
Criminal mischief in Potter County was investigated by troopers from Coudersport on Saturday. Coudersport PSP tell WQRM several snowmobile operators caused damage to property owned by Eve McCauley, 49, of Harrison Township. Damage to the victim’s paved driveway is estimated at about $100.00. anyone observing the said incident should contact troopers in Coudersport.
An accidental death in Elkland was responded to by Coudersport based state police recently. A report issued states troopers are investigating the death of 41 year old Pamela Hoover. No foul play is suspected.
A burglary between February 22nd and March 5th is being investigated by troopers from the Coudersport barracks. Troopers there tell us someone entered seven seasonal residences, where they reportedly removed various items before fleeing in an unknown direction. Anyone with information on this incident can contact the Coudersport based state police barracks.
Todd Coogan, 28, of Harrison Valley is being accused of simple assault after he and the victim, 33 year old Julie Coogan, of the same address became involved in an altercation. During the incident between the brother and sister, Julie sustained a small cut to her ear. The accused was taken into custody, before being arraigned and released on $1,500 unsecured bail.
A hearing on Bill Burleson Jr’s proposed development of the 500 block of North Main street in Port Allegany has been put on hold. Those involved agreed to postpone the hearing, with no re-schedule date given at this time. Burleson would like to develop the 500 block into 2 small and 2 large retail lots.
The Port Allegany Woman’s Club will meet this evening at 7:30 in the First Presbyterian Church Social Room.
And the ANF Bureau monthly meeting scheduled for this month has been rescheduled for March 24th at 9:00am at the Bradford Airport.

On the traffic and accident scene over the past weekend…Ridgway troopers stopped 22 year old Joshua constable of Kersey. Constable was seen violating various traffic codes along Route 948 in Fox Township, Elk County Sunday morning. At the time of the stop, it was also determined that Constable was operating a 2004 Toyota Tacoma under the influence.
Ridgway based state police also investigated an act of criminal mischief on Saturday at the Wal-Mart in St Marys. According to a report issued, a known juvenile was charged with criminal trespass after entering the store after being asked not to do so.
Ridgway based state police are asking for your help in a vandalism, which occurred between the 4th and 5th at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Kersey. Someone arrived at the place of worship and proceeded to throw eggs on the front of the building. Anyone with information about this incident can contact Elk County Crimestoppers at (800) 775-2030.
Emporium troopers tell WQRM they have cited Gary Hoover, 42, of Sinnamahoning with harassment after an incident on Friday where he was involved in an altercation with 28 year old Tonya Buck of Perrysburg, OH.
A simple assault occurred on Friday in Tioga County. According to a report given to us by Coudersport based state police, the incident occurred as a known actor assaulted the victim, 19 year old Colton Jay Main of Galeton. Main sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
An investigation into wire tapping is being conducted by Ridgway PSP. Reportedly, someone tapped lines to the Laura Pierce residence in Weedville and the Timothy Tucker residence in DuBois.
A 2 vehicle crash along Route 255 in Fox Township was responded to by Ridgway based state police on Tuesday. According to their report, a 2002 dodge Dakota driven by 58 year old Kersey resident John Fritz and a 98 Oldsmobile Aurora driven by Katherine Gutowski of Kersey were both southbound on Route 255 when Gutowski stopped before making a left turn onto Homestead Road. The Fritz truck was unable to stop in time, subsequently striking the rear of the Gutowsi vehicle.
And lamaze prepared childbirth classes will be held beginning March 16th at 7:00pm at Charles Cole’s Coudersport Wellness Center. Classes will be held every Wednesday through April 20th. Each class after the March 16th session will begin at 6:30pm.

Kane based state police tell us Jason Wall, 30, of Mt. Jewett is being accused of harassment after an incident yesterday in Mt. Jewett. According to a report issued, Myers arrived at the residence of Wall. Entering the residence, Wall and Myers became engaged in a verbal dispute before Wall asked Myers to leave. Wall also reportedly pushed Myers over a bed, in addition to striking her. Charges were filed.
Ridgway troopers tell us a burglary occurred between Wednesday and Thursday of this week in Brockport. According to their report, the incident occurred after someone forcibly entered the residence of Ashley Matia. Once inside, those involved then removed approximately $200.00 on coins. Anyone with information can contact troopers in Ridgway.
And Coudersport based state police tell us Nathan Schweigart, 27, of Wellsville is being charged with theft after he reportedly took 2 $700.00 winches from Larry’s Sports Center in Galeton. He was arraigned and released on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.
Dresser-Rand’s former Payroll Supervisor may lose a decent portion of her belongings, as a result of a suit filed against her in connection with money embezzled over a 10 year period. Patricia Rahr, who was employed as a payroll supervisor from 1994 and 2004, stands to lose 2 homes, personal watercraft and an ATV and hauling trailer. The case against Rahr, currently employed by McHone Industries in Salamanca, is scheduled to be heard April 19th in Buffalo.
New Choices/New Options in Bradford will hold another personal development program beginning Monday. There is no charge for the classes and anyone wanting to sign up can register by phoning their office at the Second Ward School on Congress Street in Bradford.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…a crash occurred yesterday morning around 11:30am Coudersport based state police tell WQRM Janet Stone, 65, of North Bend was northbound along Route 872 when her 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed the center line and left the roadway. The vehicle then traveled about 35 feet up an embankment where it rolled onto the passenger’s side. Stone received no injuries as a result of the incident, while a passenger, Mary Shon, 65, of Renovo received a cut to the hand.
Dale Bender, 75, of Lewis Run was involved in an accident along Big Shanty Road in Lafayette Township, according to our checks with troopers in Kane. Bender was travelling south in a 2000 Ford Ranger when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway. The truck then slid off the roadway and struck a snow bank and a tree. Bender was wearing his seatbelt, receiving no injuries.
Emporium based state police are investigating a theft by unlawful taking, which occurred between the 10th and 22nd of last month at the residence of Cindy Wigfield of Driftwood. The person or person involved removed approximately 94 prescription pills from the victim’s residences. Anyone with information can contact troopers at 486-3321.
And Coudersport based Telcove has announced they are expanding their employee base yet again. This after emerging from bankruptcy less than a year ago. The expansion stands to add up to 50 jobs in the Coudersport facility alone.

Coudersport based state police tell us a one vehicle accident occurred Monday along Route 144, 4.5 miles south of Galeton in West Branch Township. Troopers there tell us Rhea Beacker, 35, of Galeton was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer , when she lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the west berm, rolled onto the left side and came to rest. The vehicle was then uprighted and driven from the scene. Beacker was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for treatment. Two juveniles in the vehicle were reportedly uninjured.
Thomas Novak, 24, of Marienville was southbound in an 89 Ford F150 along Route 219 in Lafayette Township, when his truck slid on the snow covered roadway. The truck slid southeast, crossed the northbound lane and impacted an embankment. The truck the overturned and came to rest on its roof. A collision on Monday in Eulalia township, Potter County was responded to by Coudersport based state police around 10:40pm. Megan Moretti, 19, of Shinglehouse was operating a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 44,when she lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle then slid into the path of a 2003 Dodge Truck driven by Coudersport resident Peter Wills. The left side of the Moretti vehicle collided with the left front corner of the Wills vehicle before both came to rest. Moretti was trapped in her vehicle according to Coudersport troopers who responded. She was then taken to Charles Cole for treatment.
Kane based state police tell us William Schneider, 83, of Kane was traveling west on Route 6 in Ludlow in a 98 Dodge Stratus when he lost control of the car on the snow covered roadway. The Schneider car then slid into a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Jerome Savorski Jr, 23, of Warren. At this time, both vehicles came to rest. Schneider was transported to Kane Community for treatment.
Another student in the Bradford School district has been booted by the school board. According to reports, a student was expelled from the Floyd C. Fretz middle School for a violation to the weapons policy. The vote was unanimous amount those board members present for the 1 hour executive session. This is the 4th expulsion in the district within a month’s time.
And according to a report in this morning’s Bradford Era, the Federal Corrections Institution in McKean County is under permanent lock-down. An investigation also continues at the facility.
Those considering transfer to the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus can now look over transfer credit information online. The University has listed over 14,000 course offerings covering more than 580 colleges and universities in the US and beyond. The University’s website is at
www.upb.pitt.edu.A special meeting of the Smethport Area Chamber of Commerce will take place tomorrow at 5:00pm at Lakeview Senior Care and Living Center. This meeting is being held to discuss Summerfest. The meeting is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
Representative Martin Causer will hold constituent hours Thursday from 9:00am to 10:00am at the Emporium borough office. He’ll also being in Port Allegany from 10:30am to 11:30am and in Eldred at their borough office from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

On the traffic and accident scene overnight and yesterday…a collision occurred yesterday along Route 6, 4 miles east of Port Allegany. According to Coudersport based state police who responded, April Stuckey, 38, of Roulette was eastbound in a 92 Chevrolet S-10. Failing to maintain control of the truck, while negotiating a curve, the Stuckey vehicle left the northern edge of the road and struck an embankment, before rolling onto its side. Stuckey was wearing her seatbelt, receiving only minor injuries.
Kathleen Proctor, 29, of Galeton was the operator of a 99 Dodge Jeep SW which sustained moderate damage during an accident on the 27th. Coudersport based state police tell WQRM Proctor was traveling east on Route 49 when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow covered roadway. The Jeep exited Route 49, overturned and struck a ditch. Proctor was taken by ambulance to Charles Cole for treatment. The investigation continues.
Kane PSP tell us they investigated a harassment, which occurred Sunday in Duke Center. According to the report issued, William Morrisroe, 34, of Duke Center is being charged with the crime after he struck Daniel Findlan, 40 of Rixford in the back of the head.
Gordon Markert, 18, of Kane is being charged with underage consumption after fleeing authorities on the 26th in Wetmore Township. Kane based state police found the accused along the Old Smethport Road. When approached Markert fled.
A bomb threat Saturday at Holiday Valley closed the resort Saturday evening. The call to 911 around 10:00pm was reportedly made on a cell phone, say Cattaraugus County Authorities.
Otto Eldred School Board okayed the hiring of Matthew Splain as their High School’s new principal. Splain is currently employed by the Coudersport School district.
The date has been set for accused killer Jeremy Hatch, who is being accused in the death of his 4 month old son, Jeremy Hatch Jr. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for April 22, while the trial is set to begin May 9th.
Smethport AARP will meet Friday at the Smethport Senior Center at 1:00pm.
And the Smethport Chamber of Commerce Route 6 Heritage meeting scheduled for today has been canceled and rescheduled for 4:00pm, March 22nd.
